Beef Mongolian Tapa

Ingredients:

  • 400 grms. Beef tenderloin or tapa.
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce.
  • 4 tbsp. Butter.
  • 2 tbsp. Soy sauce.
  • 8 Stalks spring onion( cut into 2 inch long )
  • 1/4 cup Water or stock( adjust )
  • 2 pcs. egg.
  • 15 grms Cornstarch (dissolved in 30 grms water)
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. sesame oil.
  • 1 tbsp. Garlic ( chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp. Ginger (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp. cooking oil

Procedure:

  • Cut beef into half inch thick and 2 inches long (sticks).
  • In a mixing bowl mix together the beef, cornstarch, and egg, salt and pepper.
  • Fry beef until crisp, 5-8 min.
  • In a sauté pan add oil, ginger, garlic until translucent add the beef and sauté for 3 min. Add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, water simmer for 8 min. until beef is completely cooked. Add the onions and butter.
  • Cook for another minute.
  • Finish with sesame oil .
  • Garnish with spring onion.
  • Fine julienne carrots, bell pepper soak in water.
